We’re completing a Housing Needs Report as part of a Provincial initiative to help us better understand current and future housing needs in Mission, and to respond to these needs by contributing to the development of an Affordable Housing Strategy.

We need to hear from you on what you need, how you’ve been affected and what ideas you have on improving the housing situation in Mission.

You can help improve housing options in Mission by taking the time to complete our survey, ask questions, or share ideas right here on this site.

Why does this matter to me?

As a community, we thrive when we all have access to what we need. We want to make sure that everyone, in all of our neighborhoods has access to suitable housing options so we can grow stronger, together, as a community. As residents of Mission, we all need to do our part to address housing affordability challenges and you can help by filling out this short survey.

For a variety of reasons– job opportunities, income, ability, education, some people struggle to afford a home. Housing costs have skyrocketed and at the same time there are less low-cost housing options available. We need to ensure that there are enough good homes that are not too expensive so that we all have the housing and accommodation we need and the opportunity not just to live but to thrive in our community.

Why is this important to the District?

Housing choices are determined, in some part, by the policies we have about housing. We want to make housing affordable for all, so we need to make changes to the policies that concern housing in our community, and address the specific housing problems we face as a unique community.
