Mission Pumptrack and Bike Park

Consultation has concluded

Project Description

Welcome to your pump track and bike park assessment page! Canadian Ramp Company and Velosolutions are working alongside the City of Mission and McElhanney Ltd to design and develop a new pump track and bike skills park. The goal of this page is for you to help determine what style of pump track you are interested in riding and where you would like it located.

What is a Pump Track and Bike Park?

A pump track is an all-wheel (bicycle, scooter, rollerblade, skateboard, wheelchair.etc.) paved recreational amenity accessible to users of any age or skill level. The intent of a pump track is to provide riders with an opportunity to safely recreate, improve skill-building, encourage healthy-active lifestyles and provide an opportunity for tourists and residents to partake in active transportation.

A Bike Park is an off-road bike (BMX, Mountain Bike, Dirt Jumper) recreational amenity accessible to users of any age or skill level. The intent of a Bike Park is to provide riders with progressive features to safely improve skill levels, discourage unsanctioned trail development, and encourage outdoor recreation.

Site Visit & Public Engagement

The purpose of the in-person engagement and site visit is to provide an opportunity for members of the public to come together at the proposed sites to offer their feedback, view the proposed sites and conceptualize the site as a location for the proposed development.

Schedule

The City of Mission and the Bike Park Task Force will meet and review the sites during the day prior to the public engagement sessions.

* Times are approximate
