About the project

We are exploring the future of youth services through The Forge Project, a community-led initiative to transform the Mission Youth Centre into a Youth Hub of Services. The project aims to create a welcoming space where young people can access programs, resources, support services, and opportunities to connect in one central location.

Inspired by successful integrated youth service models, The Forge Project is being developed specifically for Mission and will be shaped by the voices of local youth, families, service providers, and community partners.

Why are we doing this?

Young people face a variety of challenges and opportunities as they grow. The Forge Project seeks to better understand the needs of youth in Mission and identify how services, programs, and supports can be brought together in a way that is accessible, welcoming, and responsive.

By creating a local Youth Hub of Services, the City hopes to strengthen connections between youth and the supports they need to thrive.

Take the survey

We have two surveys open. The first one is to hear from parents and guardians of youth.

Parents & Guardians Survey

The second is for youth organizations, educators, youth workers, and service providers.
