The City is updating the existing Development Permit Area (DPA) Guidelines in Mission’s Official Community Plan to make them clearer, easier to use, and better aligned with community priorities.

Your input on building design, neighbourhood character, environmental protection, and safety will help shape high-quality development that fits Mission and keeps our community safe, attractive, and resilient.

The 2025 OCP identifies DPAs (A–I) in Appendix D (pp. 174–217), highlighting areas requiring special treatment for new development, including promoting desired form and character, revitalising commercial areas, and addressing environmental and hazard considerations. Please click on the OCP link – survey questions refer to the current DPA guidelines available here: https://www.mission.ca/media/file/6350-2025-official-community-plan-completepdf)
