E-scooters in Mission
Whether you have used an e-scooter or not, we want to hear from you! There are 30 pilot communities across BC where e-scooter operation has been legalized for the duration of the pilot (April 2024 to 2028). Mission is not a registered pilot community, so e-scooter operation is currently illegal in Mission.
E-scooters are battery-powered motorized devices with two to four wheels, a platform for standing, and handlebars for steering. The provincial government is using the results of the pilot to determine whether e-scooters should be authorized for permanent use in the province.
The pilot rules are available on the Province’s website: Electric Kick Scooter Pilot Project Regulation.
