Bylaw services in Mission

Bylaw Officers play a key role in keeping our community safe, orderly, and vibrant. If you have concerns like parking issues, licensing questions, unsightliness or other bylaw related matters, your Bylaw Officers are here to help.

In 2024, Officers responded to just under 1000 valid complaints, and almost 30% of them were related to the Good Neighbour Bylaw.

The Good Neighbour Bylaw guides how the City approaches issues related to:

  • Street nuisances
  • Soliciting
  • Light trespassing
  • Noise regulation, odour, graffiti and littering
  • Property maintenance and unsightliness
  • Demolition sites
  • Derelict vehicles, driveways, sidewalks and boulevards
  • Pest infestations, water ponding, feeding wildlife and wildlife attractants
  • And more!

The City is reviewing the bylaw service delivery model and the Good Neighbour Bylaw to ensure they continue to reflect community values, support public safety, and promotes livable neighbourhoods.
